Week 2

Hello Year 3,

We hope you are all doing well and have been appreciating the beautiful sunshine we have had! Exercise is an important part of staying healthy, so try to go on some walks, jogs and cycle rides if you can.

Despite a really confusing week, lots of you have still managed to complete some of last week’s home learning tasks. This is absolutely amazing, and we are all really proud of you! A big thank you to everyone who has had a go at MyMaths, and also to those of you who have sent artwork to the office email for Miss Bond to see.

This week, we would like you to complete as many of the home learning tasks as you can. In English, we will be looking at story writing, and building exciting vocabulary to describe settings and characters. For maths, we have set a variety of challenges to consolidate your learning so far this year. In the afternoons, we would like you to continue researching the Romans (in particular, the Roman invasion). On Friday afternoon, Mr Mercer has devised an exciting science experiment for you to try out! It was great to see some of your photographs from last week’s experiment!

We have attached the suggested timetable for your second week of home learning below.

Remember that your wellbeing comes before anything else, so please make time for doing the things you love and spending time talking to friends and family.

We all miss you terribly!

From Miss Bond, Mr Mercer and Mrs Penfold
