Special educational needs (SEN)

We believe that all children at Telscombe Cliffs are special. We monitor the progress of each child regularly to ensure that we are meeting their needs. 

If your child needs extra support to access part of the curriculum, we will design a Support Plan. The class teacher and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) use this to record how we will support your child.

We work together with parents or carers to make every child feel successful.

If you agree, sometimes we bring in experts such as:

  • educational psychologists
  • behaviour support services
  • speech and language therapists
  • learning support services

Our approach to SEN follows the SEN Code of Practice.
